          Description
While much modern art was banned in former Czechoslovakia during the mid-century, this was not the case for glass; instead, designers could work freely, which led to a boom in creativity that built on the region’s centuries-old learnings. This box, detailed with a rare motif, is produced by Ingrid Glass, headed by Curt Schlevogt and his father-in-law, Heinrich Hoffmann. They devised a technique to make glass look like semi-precious stones – in this case, malachite. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
